Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition includes Vergil as a playable character
Game will be available digitally when PS5 launches
Capcom has announced Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition.
Priced at $39.99, the title will be available digitally when PlayStation 5 launches this November.
New features include ray tracing, the addition of Dante’s brother and arch-rival Vergil as a playable character, Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, and Turbo Mode, which speeds up the gameplay to 1.2 x the normal speed.
Capcom producer Matt Walker provided further details about the game’s next-gen features in a PlayStation Blog post.
Earlier this year Devil May Cry 5 overtook its predecessor to become the best-selling entry in the action series. Sales of the game, which released for PS4, Xbox One and PC in March 2019, now stand at 3.7 million units.
Total Devil May Cry series sales reached 22 million units as of June 30, 2020.
VGC’s Devil May Cry 5 review awarded the game top marks, calling it “another brilliant reboot” from Capcom.
The Special Edition will debut alongside PS5 when Sony’s console hits the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia and South Korea on November 12.
The rest of the world will get the console a week later on November 19, including Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa.
