Devil May Cry 3 on Switch features new style change system
Capcom previously teased “something extra” for the upcoming release

The Nintendo Switch version of Devil May Cry 3 will feature a new style change system.
Revealed on the game’s website, the feature may be the “little something extra” Capcom recently teased for the upcoming title.
It reads: “Will you prioritize speed or defense? Swordsmanship or gunplay? The new Style Change system allows you to experience the action through a number of unique Styles allowing for unprecedented variety.
“Level up the Styles and weapons as you see fit and create a playstyle all your own.”
Following the release of the first two series entries on Switch, Devil May Cry 3 will be available digitally from February 20 for $19.99 / £15.99 / €19.99.
Producer Matt Walker posted a video on Tuesday in which he suggested Capcom will add something new to the re-release.
“We know that this game holds a very special place in all of your hearts and so we wanted to show our appreciation,” he said.
“I guess you could say that we’re feeling a little motivated to add a little something extra that we think you’re all really going to like.”
Walker said to check back for more information on January 16, January 30 and February 13.

Originally released for PS2 in 2005, Devil May Cry 3 serves as a prequel for the iconic action series, unfolding years before the original Devil May Cry with a younger version of Dante.
The origin story explores the journey leading up to and culminating in Dante’s face-off against his twin brother Vergil, who’s set on unlocking a gate to the demonic realm.
Devil May Cry 3 introduced a new “style” based combat system featuring six selectable options, including Swordmaster and Gunslinger, that change up the gameplay.
