Devil May Cry 2 hits Switch this month
Upcoming launch announced during Nintendo Direct broadcast
Capcom will release Devil May Cry 2 for Nintendo Switch on September 19, 2019.
The digital game is priced at $19.99/£15.99 on the Nintendo eShop and the file size is 1.8 GB.
Nintendo revealed the upcoming launch during a Nintendo Direct live stream on Wednesday.
“Reprise your role as Dante, or play as the new femme fatale, Lucia, who prefers deadly throwing daggers to bullets and utilizes her speed with ninja-like reflexes,” reads the eShop product description.
“Build up your Devil Trigger gauge, then transform into a powerful demon with enhanced power and speed. While in demon form, Dante and Lucia can also utilize Devil Hearts – amulets that give them special powers like the ability to fly, super speed or even slowing down time.
“Devil May Cry 2 also introduces the unlockable bonus mode, Bloody Palace – where players can earn Red Orbs while trying to clear wave after wave of enemies.”
Capcom released the original Devil May Cry on Switch in June, marking the first time a game in the franchise has been made available on a Nintendo platform.
The action adventure series launched in 2001 and has sold over 20 million units to date.
Capcom will dedicate an hour-long panel to its Switch remaster program at Tokyo Game Show on September 15.
