Destiny 2: Season of the Worthy trailer and details released
Will include the return of Trials of Osiris on March 13
Destiny 2: Season of the Worthy will launch on March 10 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm UK, Bungie has confirmed.
The season will run until June 9 and include the return of Destiny PvP mode Trials of Osiris, which begins on March 13, according to the roadmap pictured below.
The blurb for the season’s new story content reads: “With the Sundial freed from the clutches of the Red Legion, one escaped Psion Flayer enacts a desperate ploy for revenge against the Last City. Guardians of the Light must set aside old differences to band together with unlikely allies and save the City from total destruction.”
Season of the Worthy key features:
- Trials of Osiris PvP mode returns
- New Exotic weapons and armor
- New Season Pass and rewards
- Guardian Games free Seasonal Event
- Continue the Destiny story: battle alongside Rasputin to save the Last City.
- All new Seasonal Artifact: New mods and new combat enhancements.
Asked in December if Bungie has plans to introduce Destiny cross-platform play, communications director David ‘Deej’ Dague told VGC that while it’s interested in “anything that would bring players together so that they can share their experiences”, managing its resources is an ongoing challenge.
“While we don’t have any promises to make about new features that will come online in the future, I can assure you that there is always a lively conversation at Bungie – as there was for years before we arrived at even cross-save – about things that we could do that would be good for players, and that we want to find the time and resources to invest in and bring to fruition,” he said.
