Destiny 2: Beyond Light gameplay trailer shows off Stasis subclasses

Bungie has released a new Destiny 2: Beyond Light gameplay trailer showcasing Stasis subclasses.

The new elemental power will launch with Beyond Light—which is the first in a trilogy of new expansions—in November 2020.

There are three new Stasis subclasses: Shadebinders, Revenants, and Behemoths.

“Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters each use Stasis in a different way, from slowing down foes with Stasis fields to encasing and shattering enemies with destructive might,” reads the blurb accompanying the latest trailer.

Destiny 2 director Luke Smith said in June: “Stasis, this new power, isn’t just going to be Guardians supers and abilities, it’s a brand new damage type, so that means it’s going to ultimately sit alongside Solar, Arc and Void as the first new element we’re introduced to the game since the original Destiny release way back in 2014.”

Destiny 2 general manager Mark Noseworthy added: “This is a big deal, it’s a big deal to add this to the universe, and it changes everything.”
