Destiny 2 and its expansions coming to Xbox Game Pass
Bungie’s game joins the subscription service in September
Destiny 2 will be available via Xbox Game Pass this fall, Microsoft and Bungie have announced.
Game Pass subscribers will receive access to the standard edition of each expansion (seasonal content sold separately), starting with Forsaken and Shadowkeep in September, followed by Beyond Light in November.
The launch of Beyond Light, which is the first in a trilogy of new expansions, was recently delayed from September to November 10, with Bungie citing challenging working conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Game Pass Ultimate members will also be able to stream Destiny 2 on their Android mobile devices when xCloud launches in September.
Bungie released the gameplay trailer at the top of the page on Thursday, showing off the new Stasis elemental power coming to the game with Beyond Light.
Destiny 2 is also joining the list of games being optimised for Xbox Series X. It will run in 4K and at 60 frames per second on Microsoft’s next-gen console.
