Delta Force’s open beta has been dated for PC
It will launch in December, ahead of a console and mobile release in early 2025
Tencent will launch Delta Force’s open beta for PC on December 5, 2024.
The beta will be available globally on its official launcher, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Replacing what Tencent previously referred to as an early access period, the beta will include full live service content updates with no further progress resets.
Rather than being a test version, the company called the open beta “a long-term, stable live service version with continuous content updates”.
While Delta Force is a free-to-play game, the beta will include paid content in the form of battle passes, and weapon and vehicle cosmetics, but “there will be no pay-to-win elements”.
“Expect a ton of new content like maps, modes, Operators, weapons, and vehicles along with major improvements to gameplay, including better performance, bug fixes, and a stronger anti-cheat system,” Tencent said.
The beta won’t feature controller support, “but it’s under development and will be added soon”.
Delta Force is in development at Call of Duty Mobile and Honor of Kings maker Timi.
Console and mobile versions of the tactical FPS are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2025
In addition to its multiplayer offering, the game will feature a campaign mode based on the Ridley Scott movie Black Hawk Down.
