December’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are now available to claim
Subscribers can download Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator and Sable
December’s first PlayStation Plus games have been released.
This month’s PlayStation Plus Essential titles are Lego 2K Drive (PS5, PS4), Powerwash Simulator (PS5, PS4) and Sable (PS5).
PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim these games at no extra charge until January 1, 2024.
Essential is the entry-level PlayStation Plus membership tier, which offers subscribers access to a few ‘free’ games every month.
The service’s more expensive Extra and Premium tiers offer subscribers access to the Game Catalogue, a library of up to 400 downloadable PS4 and PS5 games, as well as Ubisoft+ Classics, a curated selection of titles from the Assassin’s Creed publisher.
Features reserved for Premium subscribers include game trials, cloud streaming, and access to the Classics Catalogue, which is a library of hundreds of games from the original PlayStation, PS2, PS3 and PSP.
November PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue titles included Teardown, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme vs. Maxi Boost On, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition, Superliminal and Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising.
Last month’s additions to the Classics Catalogue were Grandia, Jet Moto, Up, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series and PaRappa the Rapper 2.
Sony recently announced its latest free PlayStation Plus online multiplayer weekend.
Online multiplayer modes for PS4 and PS5 games will be accessible without a PlayStation Plus subscription from December 9 at 12.01am until December 10 at 11.59pm local time.
