Free and premium character packs have also been released
Deep Silver has provided new details on Dead Island 2’s upcoming story expansions.
The first expansion, Haus, will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2023, with the second, SOLA Festival, following in the second quarter of 2024.
Both expansions are included in the game’s $29.99 / £24.99 Expansion Pass.
Dead Island 2 story expansions
Expansion 1: How does a billionaire prepare for the zompocalypse? A techno-death cult with a healthy splash of debauchery and gore! The first story expansion, Haus, will release in Q4, 2023.
Expansion 2: Welcome to the SOLA festival, where LA’s party people can greenwash their way to ecstasy and save the planet, one rave at a time. So L.A! SOLA Festival, will launch in Q2, 2024.
Earlier this week, Deep Silver released a set of free skins that will unlock once players reach certain milestones.
It also launched the HELL-A Catwalk Collection, which includes six premium character packs. Each one comes with a skin for the slayer named in the pack, plus a weapon that can be used by any of the slayers in the collection.
Almost a decade after it was first revealed, Dead Island 2 released in May and surpassed one million sales in its first weekend of availability, according to Deep Silver.
