Days Gone Remastered is coming to PS5 in April

Sony has announced that a remastered version of Days Gone is coming to PS5.

Days Gone Remastered will be released on PS5 on April 25.

The game will also include new content including a Permadeath mode, an enhanced Photo mode, new accessibility features and a Speedrun mode. A new Horde Assault mode will also see players taking on huge swathes of zombies.

The PC version of Days Gone will also receive the new modes as DLC on the same date.

According to Bend Studio, the PS5 version will feature “improved graphical fidelity, increased foliage draw distance, improved shadow and lighting quality, Tempest 3D Audio, VRR support and more”, along with support for PS5 Pro.

Days Gone Remastered will cost $49.99, but players who already own Days Gone on PS4 will be able to upgrade to Remastered for $10.

However, it also notes that “game redemptions via PlayStation Plus are not eligible for upgrade,” which presumably means that every PS5 early adopter who received the game as part of the PlayStation Plus Collection won’t be able to pay $10 to upgrade.

“A game nearest and dearest to our hearts, with our good partners at Climax Studios, we strived to make this the definitive way to play Days Gone for new and returning players,” Bend Studio community manager Kevin McAllister wrote on the official PlayStation Blog.

“Step into the dirt flecked shoes of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John and feel his desperate struggle for survival in a brutal open world ravaged by feral creatures known as Freakers.”
