Daemon X Machina has been confirmed as next week’s free Epic Games Store title

Next week’s free Epic Games Store title will be Daemon X Machina.
The post-apocalyptic mech action game is set to be offered free of charge on Epic’s marketplace from January 27 until February 3.
The news was announced by Epic on Thursday, following an earlier leak by Dealabs user billbil-kun.
UPDATE 27/02/22: Daemon X Machina is now free to download. It will be replaced by Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair on February 3.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: The same source previously leaked the PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold line-ups on multiple occasions, as well as the Epic Games Store’s 15 Days of Free Games promotion.
Daemon X Machina will replace Relicta, which is currently free to download until January 27. It’s is a first-person physics-based puzzle game in which players combine magnetism and gravity to achieve their goals.
The Epic Games Store gave away over 15 games in the second half of last month, with titles offered free every day from December 16-30.
They included Control, Shenmue 3, Neon Abyss, Remnant: From the Ashes, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Loop Hero, Second Extinction, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Vampyr, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Prey and the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy.
In an article published on VGC last year, Ampere analyst Louise Shorthouse questioned whether Epic’s game giveaways were sustainable in the long term.
