I've been staying off of socials today but I am so thrilled to see this change! I worked with CDPR earlier this week to test some braindance animations and I think this will help MANY epileptics and non-epileptics feel safer in #Cyberpunk2077.

Cyberpunk’s latest update fixes epilepsy triggers, crashes and console reflections
New patch is out now on all platforms
CD Projekt Red has released a new Cyberpunk 2077 update, which it says fixes various issues across quests, gameplay and performance.
The update is now live on PlayStation and PC and will be followed later on Xbox consoles.
The most significant change in the patch is the modification of the flashing effect during braindance sequences, which one epileptic viewer had claimed caused a seizure during her playthrough.
UPDATE: The patch is now available on all platforms.

ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: CD Projekt Red says the effect has been “smoothed out” and the flashes reduced in frequency and magnitude.
In a post on Twitter, Game Informer journalist Liana Ruppert said she’d worked with Cyberpunk’s developer to test the new animations, following her report earlier this week.
In addition, today’s Cyberpunk 2077 patch makes a number of visual improvements, according to CDPR, including the reduction of vehicle pop-in and improvements to reflections quality on Xbox One and PS4.
General stability has also been improved, according to the developer, and it’s removed copyrighted songs incorrectly present in the game with “Disable Copyrighted Music” feature toggled on.
Cyberpunk 2077’s performance on base PS4 and Xbox One has been criticised this week, with a new Digital Foundry analysis calling performance on base PS4 consoles “dire” and “a mess”.
Digital Foundry found that on the base PS4 the much-anticipated open-world game dropped to 15fps in some sequences, while the PS4 Pro dropped to as low as 18fps but hits 30fps “a lot more often”.
“They’ve clearly built a high-end PC experience targeting cutting edge hardware and that comes with a cost,” Digital Foundry’s John Linneman said.
