Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 details announced ahead of first DLC reveal on Tuesday
Next update will include mini-map enhancements and a new perks reset option
CD Projekt Red has announced several features set to be included in Cyberpunk 2077’s next major patch and will also reveal the game’s first DLC on Tuesday.
The studio confirmed details of Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 in a website update on Monday, with more set to be shown during a live stream on its Twitch channel scheduled for August 17 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST.
In a video teaser for the stream, CD Projekt Red senior community manager Kira Tverskaya said the event will cover “some new and exciting changes to Cyberpunk 2077 which are coming with patch 1.3, as well as the very first DLCs for the game”.
UPDATE: CD Projekt Red has revealed Cyberpunk 2077’s first free DLC, which includes new jackets, a new car, and a Johnny Silverhand alternative appearance.
It has also released the patch notes for the game’s 1.3 update, which senior level designer Miles Tost called the studio’s “biggest one to date”.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: Monday’s patch 1.3 preview included several videos showcasing changes coming in the game’s next title update. They include a zoomed out mini-map which will enable players to see more and navigate Night City better.
The second video shows a UI update designed to make it clearer whether players are choosing between Angel or Skye when they visit the Clouds establishment in the Automatic Love quest.
And the third video reveals plans to introduce a cheaper perks reset option. “For our players, this feature will mean safer experimentation with builds,” CD Projekt Red said. “It is easily accessible and affordable for everyone, so there is no need to hesitate while investing in particular perks.”
Cyberpunk 2077’s last major update, patch 1.23, was released in June ahead of the game’s return to the PlayStation Store.
It featured “numerous crash fixes in animations, UI, scene, physics and gameplay systems”, plus a host of other improvements.
After it was named the best-selling game on the PlayStation Store for June, Cyberpunk 2077 dropped completely out of the platform’s top 20 in July’s chart.
