UPDATE 12.33pm UK: Currys has now sold out of Xbox Series S consoles. Game was selling PS5 consoles online today but is also now out of stock.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: Walmart Canada will be offering Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles for sale online today too.
The retailer will be selling PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition consoles from 11am ET and Xbox Series X/S consoles from 12pm ET.
Pre-orders for Xbox Series X/S went live in September and initial stock was quickly snapped up, leaving many fans unable to secure one of the new consoles for launch on November 10.
Xbox Series X/S broke Microsoft’s own 24-hour launch record of over one million sales, according to the platform holder.
Xbox Series X/S at retail
Demand for Microsoft’s consoles is expected to outstrip supply for the foreseeable future, with Xbox head Phil Spencer recently suggesting Xbox Series X/S shortages will continue into spring 2021.
Spencer has said he expects the Xbox series S to outsell Xbox Series X over the course of the generation.
UK technology retailer Box is holding ballots to decide which customers will be able to purchase new Xbox Series X/S stock when it receives it later this month.
