Cuphead Delicious Last Course DLC delayed to 2020

‘To create a better product in a healthy work environment’

Studio MDHR has delayed the release Cuphead’s Delicious Last Course expansion from this year to 2020.

In a statement posted on its website, the studio said it has pushed back the DLC in order to give it time to focus on creating a quality product while maintaining a healthy work/life balance for its employees.

“While we initially announced a 2019 release date for the Delicious Last Course expansion, our highest priority is making sure this new adventure meets the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for,” it said.

“Furthermore, the development of the original game taught us a great deal about the importance of making things in a way that’s healthy and sustainable for our team.

“With that in mind, we’re taking a page out of Chef Saltbaker’s book, and spending the necessary time to get the recipe just right.”

Set for release on Xbox One, Switch, Windows 10, Steam and GOG, the DLC promises to deliver fresh bosses and weapons, plus a new playable character. A teaser trailer can be viewed above.

Studio MDHR announced in March that it was working with Microsoft to investigate bringing Xbox Live features to the Switch version of Cuphead.
