Control publisher 505 Games announces digital product showcase
Next week’s event will include updates on announced games and “a surprise or two”
Control publisher 505 Games has announced plans to hold the first digital product showcase in its 15-year history.
The presentation will take place on Tuesday, May 17 at 6am PT / 9am PT / 2pm BST / 3pm CET on its YouTube channel. You’ll be able to watch it live via the video embedded at the top of this page.
“In our Spring 2022 showcase, prepare for updates on previously announced titles, as well as a surprise or two along the way,” 505 teased. This will include “a brand new reveal from a cult developer”.
The show will be hosted by former MTV presenter Patrice Bouédibéla and will also feature in-depth developer interviews.
“As 505 continues to grow, it is important we keep shouting about the amazing developers we’re proud to work with, and the brilliant games they make,” said 505 Games president Neil Ralley.
“With our first ever showcase, we’re thrilled to present just a handful of the new games we have in the pipeline for 2022 and beyond. We’d be honoured for people to tune in and see what we have in store for them.”
Remedy Entertainment announced last June that it was teaming up with 505 to make two new Control games. The first is a co-op multiplayer spin-off set in the same universe, which is currently codenamed Condor and is being developed by Remedy’s ‘Vanguard‘ team.
The second is a “bigger budget Control game” designed to “further expand the Control franchise”, which is to be explored more in the future.
505 recently published the PC version of Death Stranding Director’s Cut and earlier this week it released Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising.
Upcoming titles from the publisher also include Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and the console versions of Gunfire Reborn.
