Company of Heroes 3 has been dated for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

Sega has announced a console release date for Company of Heroes 3.

The third entry in developer Relic Entertainment’s real-time strategy series will hit PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 30, 2023.

Players will be able to pre-order the Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition both physically and digitally starting on April 25.

The game’s release will mark the franchise’s first appearance on consoles, and Relic said it has been rebuilt from the ground up for PlayStation and Xbox.

Console players can expect a newly designed controller scheme and a custom UI adapted for gamepads, alongside special features that allow them to play at their own pace.

Full Tactical Pause allows players to freeze the action and coordinate their next move without the pressure of having to do it in real-time.

“In single-player modes, the turn-based Italian Dynamic Campaign offers a sandbox-style gameplay experience with new levels of strategic choice, whereas the sweeping deserts of North Africa allow for a classic, narrative-led single-player experience,” according to Relic.

“For players that enjoy their competitive action, CoH3 has a huge online multiplayer and co-op vs AI offer, with more factions, mechanics and units than ever before.”

Following a delay from a planned 2022 release, Company of Heroes 3 hit PC this February.
