Command & Conquer storms March’s European sales chart after Steam release
Dragon’s Dogma 2 was the highest new entry at No.3
Command and Conquer games stormed the European software sales chart in March.
Publisher EA released a selection of classic games on Steam last month, including a large number of titles in the real-time strategy franchise as part of the Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection bundle.
Command and Conquer games took half of the top 10 places on the European software chart in March, and 11 spots in top 20, led by Command & Conquer Generals at No.4.
That’s according to GSD data published on GamesIndustry.biz, which covers physical game sales from major markets and digital sales from most leading publishers, excluding Nintendo and 505 Games.
The highest new entry on the chart was Dragon’s Dogmas 2 at No.3. Sales of the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC game during its first two weeks of availability were reportedly just lower than those achieved by Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in the two weeks following its PS5 release in February.
Other new entries included WWE 2K24 at No.12, Rise of the Ronin at No.18 and Princess Peach Showtime at No.23.
