Command & Conquer Remastered Collection dated

Electronic Arts has announced a Command & Conquer Remastered Collection release date of June 5, 2020.

Featuring Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and their three expansion packs (Covert Ops, Counterstrike and The Aftermath), the RTS compilation will be available for PC via Origin and Steam and be included with Origin Access Premier subscriptions.

It will be available in three editions. A $19.99 standard digital edition will be released on Origin and Steam, while the $59.99 special edition and $149.99 25th anniversary edition physical packs are only available to pre-order on Limited Run Games until April 10.

Command & Conquer Remastered is in development at Petroglyph, the studio founded by former developers of Westwood Studios, who made the original C&C games.

The development team includes C&C co-creator and lead programmer Joe Bostic, Red Alert lead programmer Steve Tall, audio engineer Mike Legg and composer Frank Klepacki.

Art assets are being remade by art studio Lemon Sky, and players will be able to switch between the original and new HD assets on the fly.

EA says the collection features a revamped UI, updated controls, a map editor and a modernised multiplayer experience including custom games, 1v1 quick match, Elo-based matchmaking, leaderboards and replays.
