Codemasters debuts in-game F1 2019 trailer

Developer claims new visuals have “surpassed expectations”

Codemaster has released the first in-game trailer for F1 2019, which it says showcases visuals that have “surpassed expectations.”

While the last three games in the series were released in August, the newest entry will arrive earlier in the F1 season — the F1 2019 release date is Friday June 28 on PS4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam), or three days earlier via the Legends Edition.

F1 2019 features all the official teams, drivers and circuits from the 2019 season, plus the addition of the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship, which will be made available via a free update after release.

Codemasters claimed in a blog post that F1 2019 has been in development for almost two years, making it the “most ambitious” release in the franchise’s history.

“Every year we make great strides so the game is as authentic and immersive as possible and we have surpassed expectations with the quality of the visuals in F1 2019,” said game director Lee Mather.

“We also know from fan feedback the classic cars our community want to race and we hope the returning roster, alongside the new vehicles from the Legends and Anniversary editions, will give them the choices they crave.”
