Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is coming in April
The HD remaster includes a rare Satellaview text adventure
An HD remaster of cult Square RPG Chrono Cross is coming to Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and Steam.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition will be released on April 7, and will also come with a remaster of The Radical Dreamers: Le Trésor Interdit.
This was originally exclusive to the Satellaview, a satellite add-on for the Super Famicom in Japan, and is a text adventure detailing more of the Chrono Cross storyline.
This marks the first time The Radical Dreamers has been available in a language other than Japanese.
The remaster includes a number of new features designed to improve the experience.
These include the ability to turn off enemy encounters whenever needed, and a newly enhanced soundtrack.
Reports late last year suggested that a remaster of Chrono Cross was in development.
Chrono Cross, which was released for the original PlayStation in 1999, was one of many unannounced titles listed in an Nvidia database leak in September – a list the company subsequently admitted was real, even if it said the games didn’t necessarily exist.
