Celeste’s Farewell DLC available now

The final story chapter for Celeste, Chapter 9: Farewell, is now available as a free update for all platforms.

It features over 100 “very hard” new levels, “several brand new mechanics and items to discover and play with”, plus 40 minutes of new music from Lena Raine.

The developers behind Celeste and TowerFall, formerly collectively known as Matt Makes Games, recently established a new studio called Extremely OK Games (EXOK).

Founder Matt Thorson said Celeste’s success has enabled the team to relocate to Vancouver to work together under one roof on a permanent basis.

While Matt Makes Games will remain listed as the publisher/developer of its existing games, future work from the team will come from EXOK.

Thorson said the studio is “in a very exploratory phase of development” on its next project, “sussing out what this thing wants to be”.
