Case maker reportedly reveals Switch 2 release date to CES atendees
The latest Switch 2 leak from case makers is reportedly the release date
A Switch 2 accessory maker has claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 is set for release in April.
Genki, which reportedly told a journalist that they own a real Switch 2, has said that the console, which Nintendo has yet to announce, is due in April.
While accessory manufacturers are often privy to pre-release information, to time the production and release of their items alongside tech launches, it’s unclear how authentic Genki’s info on release timing is – especially since it seemingly has not agreed to an NDA.
Genki is also the accessory maker that is showing off what it claims to be an accurate replica of the system this week at CES.
The replica model is being used to demonstrate the accessories Genki has planned for the Nintendo Switch successor, including controllers and a docking station, it told attendees.
Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its Switch successor, but the company has confirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.
This hasn’t stopped multiple accessory makers from revealing virtually every physical detail of the machine before Nintendo has had the chance to.
Last week, supposed images of Switch 2’s Joy-Cons have made their way online. If authentic, they corroborate previous claims that the Switch 2 Joy-Cons will be slightly larger, and feature a magnetic connection. It’s also speculated they could feature mouse-like support.
