Capcom shows off gameplay of Terry Bogard in Street Fighter 6
Terry is one of two Fatal Fury characters planned for the game
Capcom has shown off footage of Terry Bogard in Street Fighter 6.
The teaser trailer for the guest character was shown off as part of Evo 2024.
Terry can be purchased individually with Fighter Coins, and owners of the Year 2 Character Pass / Ultimate Pass will automatically get access to Terry when he releases. Terry is currently planned for autumn 2024.
Terry is the second character in Street Fighter 6’s second year of content. He’ll be joined by Mai Shiranui, also from Fatal Fury, and Elena, a Street Fighter veteran.
Terry is planned to release in autumn 2024, then Elena in spring 2025, before Mai finally arrives in winter 2025.
The Fatal Fury fighter previously appeared as a guest character in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but has never appeared in the Street Fighter series (and neither has Mai).
Fatal Fury and Street Fighter characters have met in the past, however, most notably in the Capcom vs SNK series of fighting games.
Elena is a Kenyan capoeira fighter who first made her debut in Street Fighter 3. She returned in Ultra Street Fighter 4, but didn’t appear in Street Fighter 5.
Street Fighter 6 has sold over three million copies since it was released in June 2023, according to Capcom, which is targeting 10 million lifetime sales for the game.
The company is set to co-produce a new live-action Street Fighter movie with Legendary Entertainment, after the Dune and Godzilla vs. Kong production company acquired the film and TV rights to the fighting series last year.
