Capcom premieres first trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2
The RPG sequel will “begin the cycle anew”
Capcom has premiered the first look at Dragon’s Dogma 2, the sequel to its 2012 RPG.
Announced last year during a live stream celebrating the original game’s 10th anniversary, director Hideaki Itsuno said: “Everyone in the development team is hard at work creating a game that we hope you will enjoy! Please look forward to it!”
No game details were revealed during the stream. In a follow-up statement, Capcom said Dragon’s Dogma 2 “will begin the cycle anew” and confirmed that the sequel is being developed using its RE Engine.
On Wednesday, Capcom shared hints at Dragon’s Dogma 2’s story over on the PlayStation Blog.

“Dragon’s Dogma is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more,” it wrote.
“On your journey, you’ll be joined by Pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.
“All of these elements are elevated further by the latest in graphics, artificial intelligence (AI) and physics technology to create a truly immersive fantasy world in Dragon’s Dogma 2.”
