Call of Duty’s Halloween event launches on Tuesday with a Scream tie-in
The Haunting will bring new modes to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone
Activision has detailed the latest limited-time event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
The Halloween event, which is called The Haunting, will take place across the two games from October 19 until November 2.
It features Scream and Donnie Darko tie-ins, including Ghostface (launch) and Frank the Rabbit (October 24) bundles enabling users to play as the movie characters.
“Play and complete limited-time event challenges and modes to unlock event exclusive rewards, a new weapon, and more than your fair share of scares,” reads the description accompanying a new trailer for the event, which you can watch below.
Warzone’s new Ghosts of Verdansk mode takes place at night and sees Operators become Ghosts after being eliminated for the first time.
Cold War is also getting three limited-time multiplayer modes (Infected, Prop Hunt Halloween and Scream Deathmatch), while iconic Black Ops map Nuketown will receive a Halloween makeover.
Completing The Haunting’s challenges will unlock the LAPA SMG, which will also have a unique weapon blueprint available in the store alongside Halloween-themed bundles.
Raven Software recently confirmed that Warzone Season 6 will be the game’s final season set in its original map, Verdansk.
Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 6 launched in early October, introducing a variety of new content and weapon tuning.
In Warzone, new points of interest were created when fissures cracked open Verdansk’s Stadium and Downtown areas to reveal World War 2 era bunkers offering players an underground system of passageways and armaments rooms to explore.
