Call of Duty Warzone: Mobile has been delayed to spring 2024

Activision has delayed Call of Duty Warzone: Mobile’s launch window to 2024.

Previously expected to release this year for iOS and Android devices, the game is now planned to arrive next spring.

Officially revealed last September, Warzone Mobile is being co-developed by Activision’s Shanghai, Beenox, Digital Legends and Solid State studios.

A limited release for the game began in Australia last November, before rolling out to other countries including Chile, Norway and Sweden this year.

45 million players have pre-registered for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, according to Activision.

The publisher announced on Thursday that in addition to the game’s Verdansk map, Rebirth Island will make its mobile debut when the title receives its worldwide launch.

Alongside its flagship 120-player battle royale mode, Warzone Mobile will offer multiplayer modes like Domination and Team Deathmatch, which have been designed to give players an additional way to level up their weapons.

“From rendering at a significantly higher fidelity to reducing the install footprint, to refining the customization options, to the integration of an authentic multiplayer experience featuring maps like Shipment and Shoot House to complement Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is all-encompassing Call of Duty experience poised to redefine Battle Royale for gamers on the go,” according to Activision.
