Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct showcase confirmed for June 9
The presentation will immediately follow the Xbox Games Showcase
Activision has confirmed that a previously announced mystery product showcase planned for next month will be for Call of Duty Black Ops 6.
The Xbox Games Showcase – the first to include games across Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios – will be livestreamed on June 9, 2024, starting at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
Black Ops 6 will be revealed during the showcase, and be the subject of its own ‘Direct’ presentation immediately following the main Xbox event.
The Black Ops 6 Direct promises to offer the first in-depth look at new gameplay and product announcements.
Having launched a teaser site for the game earlier this week, Activision officially confirmed today that Black Ops 6 is this year’s Call of Duty.
It’s been claimed that the title is set in the early 1990s during the Gulf War, with development being led by Treyarch.
Black Ops 6 will also reportedly be included in Xbox Game Pass at release.
It’s been claimed that Microsoft will use the Xbox Games Showcase to announce new Gears of War and Doom games.
The platform holder is also expected to confirm release dates for upcoming titles including Starfield‘s Shattered Space expansion, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, Flight Simulator 2024 and Avowed.
