Blair Witch gameplay trailer features canine companion Bullet
Game coming to Xbox One and PC next month
The first official gameplay trailer for the upcoming Blair Witch game has been released.
Announced at E3 in June, the first-person psychological horror title is in the works at Layers of Fear studio Bloober Team and Lionsgate Games.
It sees players take on the role of Ellis, a former police officer who has joined the search for a missing boy in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland, accompanied by his canine companion Bullet.
“What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods,” according to the official game blurb.
The trailer above features a look at some of the gameplay elements such as exploration, combat and environmental interaction, including the role of Bullet, who can be issued with various commands like seeking out and digging up areas of interest.
Blair Witch will be released on Xbox One and PC via Steam on August 30, and on GOG later in 2019.
