Black PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge and Pulse accessories announced
Midnight Black accessories collection for PS5 launches in February
Sony has announced a new Midnight Black collection of PlayStation 5 accessories.
Launching next month, it includes the PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, Pulse Elite wireless headphones and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.
They’re designed to complement the Midnight Black PS5 accessories already available, like the DualSense wireless controller and console covers.
The Midnight Black collection will be released on February 20, 2025, with pre-orders starting on January 16 at 10am local time (10am ET in the US) on PlayStation Direct. Other participating retailers will also open pre-orders on the same date.
“Each Midnight Black accessory features a unique, rich shade of black, with sleek detailing on various buttons and accents such as the PlayStation,” according to Sony.
“The Midnight Black design extends to the included charging case for Pulse Explore earbuds, charging hanger for Pulse Elite headset, and carrying case for DualSense Edge controller. The Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds will also include a felt grey carrying case.”
Coinciding with today’s accessories announcement, Sony has cut the price of the DualSense Edge controller in Europe. Having launched in white in January 2023 for £209.99 / €239.99, it’s now available for £199.99 / €219.99, a price that will also apply to the upcoming black version.
