Activision has published the patch notes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 ahead of today’s big update.

Going live across all platforms at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT, the update features a host of new content across multiplayer, Zombies and battle royale.

On the multiplayer front, Season 2 includes three new maps at launch. Dealership is set in a car dealership, Lifeline Strike takes place on a luxury yacht, and Bounty plays out across a crime lord’s penthouse.

Bullet and Grind will arrive as part of the game’s mid-season Reloaded update. The former is a Strike map set on a high-speed train, while the latter is a remaster of the Black Ops 2 map set in a skate park.

Popular multiplayer mode Gun Game is returning at the launch of Season 2, alongside new mode Overdrive, which Activision has described as a “charged-up twist on Team Deathmatch” in which players are rewarded stars for executing different types of takedowns.

The headline Zombies addition in Season 2 is a brand new map called The Tomb. “Following the events at Citadelle des Morts, Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey must take the amulet secured at the Citadel to a cursed dig site and the ancient catacombs within,” according to Activision.

“Professor Krafft indicated that the elusive Sentinel Artifact may be found in the tunnels below. Reports of paranormal phenomena go back centuries, possibly related to the presence of the artifact. If the team can secure it, there may yet be hope in releasing Samantha Maxis from her imprisonment in the Dark Aether.”

There’ll be less in the way of new content for Warzone, as updates previously planned for Season 2 have “been shifted to create bandwidth to address foundational issues” with the game, Activision recently confirmed.

That means there’ll be a focus on gameplay tuning, quality of life improvements and bug fixes, with their release staggered across Season 2.

There will be a new Reactive Armor Perk available at launch, which will enable players to regenerate their armor. And arriving mid-season, the Low Profile Perk will boost movement speed when crouched, prone, and downed.

Call of Duty: Warzone players will also be part of The Terminator and Shadow Hunt Events during the first few weeks of the season, and access all the shared Season 02 content, including the new base weapons,” Activision said.

The new weapons will be the PPSh-41 SMG, Cypher 091 Assault Rifle, Feng 82 LMG, TR2 Marksman Rifle.

Activision has also revealed plans to allow Black Ops 6 and Warzone players on consoles to disable cross-play with PC users in Ranked Play. This is currently in testing and will be made available during Season 2.
