Black Ops 4’s Apocalypse Z adds zombie-themed battle royale

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Operation Apocalypse Z will commence on Tuesday, July 9 for PS4 owners, with new zombie-themed content for all game modes.

In Blackout a new ‘Haunting Fog’ limited time Quads playlist is set to arrive, featuring drastically reduced sightlines and “zombie secrets,” while the traditional Blackout modes will feature zombie-related theming but without the fog.

Secondly, Blackout’s Alcatraz: Nightfall variant map will introduce a new game mode which introduces Hellhounds and the Warden to the island, developer Treyarch said.

For Black Ops Pass owners, a new Zombies campaign called Alpha Omega will continue the Aether storyline, with players able to play as both the Primis and Ultimis characters, as timelines converge.

Black Ops Pass owners will also receive three additional Multiplayer maps, including two new Zombies-themed battlegrounds (Der Schatten and Remnant), and re-imagined Black Ops classic Havana.

The Operation also adds the new specialist Reaper, a war robot armed with the Scythe machine gun – which is capable of suppressing nearby enemies – and the ability to deploy a jamming device that conceals an area of the mini-map.

Finally, Operation Apocalypse Z will add the Sticks and Stones party game, in which players are only given a crossbow, Ballistic Knife, and Combat Axe to battle opponents in a score-based free-for-all.
