BioShock games rated for Nintendo Switch
Taiwanese board classifies individual titles and BioShock Collection for Nintendo’s console
Take-Two is planning to release the first three BioShock games on Nintendo Switch, according to new online listings.
The Taiwan ratings board has classified BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered and BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition, as well as compilation package BioShock: The Collection, for Nintendo’s console.
The listings don’t include planned release dates for the officially unannounced products, but VGC has contacted Take-Two publishing label 2K for comment.
2K revealed in December that work has begun on a fourth entry in the BioShock franchise at its newly announced Cloud Chamber studio.
Scott Sinclair, the art director of the original BioShock and BioShock Infinite, is working on the new game, which will be in development “for the next several years,” the publisher said.
The new BioShock title’s creative director is Hoagy de la Plante, who was involved in the original game across multiple disciplines including level design, environment art and programming.
According to Cloud Chamber’s global studio head, Kelley Gilmore, the new BioShock’s development team also includes veterans of other franchises including Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed and Battlefield.
Former BioShock developer Irrational Games (now Ghost Story Games) and creative director Ken Levine are not involved in the project, Gilmore said.
4A Games’ Metro Redux was rated for Nintendo Switch in Europe in December.
