Battlefield 5 free weekend trials extended to include War in the Pacific
All multiplayer modes and maps will be available to sample
Electronic Arts has launched the third of three previously announced Battlefield V free weekend trials for PC.
The publisher has also extended its run of free trials to include a fourth one on PC and consoles from November 1-3, following the launch of Battlefield V: Chapter 5 War in the Pacific.
Each trial has offered access to different multiplayer game modes. The first included Rush, the second offered Conquest, and the current trial features Grand Operations.
The newly announced fourth free weekend trial will include access to all multiplayer maps and modes.
EA also says “an onboarding segment of the Squad Conquest mode and all of the War Stories, the untold and unplayed single-player stories inspired by real WW2 events,” will be available throughout the trial weekends.
DICE will launch Battlefield V’s War in the Pacific season of content on Thursday October 31.
New maps include Pacific Storm and the returning classics Iwo Jima and Wake Island (the latter coming in December), reimagined for Battlefield V.
Fresh weapons include the M1 Garand, Type 99 Arisaka, Type 100 and M1919A6, while katanas and the M2 flamethrowers are new battle pickups that must be found on the battlefield to be equipped.
New vehicles include the M4 Sherman tank, the Type 97 Japanese equivalent, the LVT and Ka-Mi Light Amphibious Tanks, the Dinghy, the MB Jeep, the Type 95 car, the F4U Corsair plane and Japanese Zero Fighter.
