Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V for PC are being given away to Amazon Prime members
The WW1 game is available now, with the WW2 shooter set to follow in August
The PC versions of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V are being made available as free downloads to Amazon Prime subscribers as part of its Prime Gaming offering.
Released in 2016, Battlefield 1 focuses on WW1 and currently costs £17.99 from EA’s Origin store. However, it is now available free for Prime customers until August 4.
WW2 shooter Battlefield V released in 2018 and currently costs £34.99 from Origin. It will be free for Amazon Prime customers from August 2 until October 1.
Prime members can now claim one game code redeemable on Origin for the Battlefield 1 standard edition, and will be able to claim a code for the Battlefield V standard edition from August 2.
Battlefield 4 was also made available as a free download for Amazon Prime members in June.
The standard edition of Battlefield 2042 is set to release on October 22, 2021 priced at $59.99 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and $69.99 for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
However, players who choose to pre-order the Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition for $89.99 on PC and $99.99 on consoles, or the Battlefield 2042 Ultimate Edition for $109.99 on PC and $119.99 on consoles, will receive early access to the game beginning on October 15.
The multiplayer-only game will support 128-players on maps featuring dynamic weather and other environmental hazards, although the Xbox One and PS4 versions will be capped at 64 players and include reduced map sizes.
DICE recently announced that Battlefield 2042 will support cross-play and cross-progression, with the former set to be tested in a technical playtest this summer.
More information about the game will be revealed during the EA Play Live showcase on Thursday.
