Banjo-Kazooie and Dragon Quest hero coming to Smash Bros Ultimate

Nintendo has confirmed that Banjo-Kazooie and The Hero from Dragon Quest are the next DLC fighters in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

The Hero will arrive first in the summer, and will represent a number of Dragon Quest games.

Banjo-Kazooie is officially coming to Nintendo Switch

Rare classic will be part of the new Switch Online N64 library

Much like certain Smash Bros fighters  have different characters assigned to their alternate costumes (like Bowser Jr and the Koopalings), The Hero’s appearance can change too depending on which costume you choose.

His default design is that of the protagonist from Dragon Quest XI, but by switching costumes you can also play as the heroes from Dragon Quest III, Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest VIII.

Banjo and Kazooie will then arrive in the fall, and bring with them new music composed by Grant Kirkhope.

Banjo-Kazooie creators Grant Kirkhope, Steve Mayles and Chris Sutherland spoke to VGC about the characters’ additions in a new interview.

Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai also spoke of his satisfaction.
