Bandai Namco and Nike are teaming up for Tekken sneakers
Two designs based on Kazuya and Jin will be released
Nike and Bandai Namco are teaming up for special edition Tekken 8 sneakers.
As reported by Sole Retriever, two pairs of Tekken 8 x Nike Air Foamposite One Fist sneakers will be released in September 2024 through Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers.
The sneakers are part of Tekken’s 30th anniversary celebrations (as well as the latest game) and feature two designs based on Kazuya and Jin.
The Tekken Nike Air Foamposites will come in men’s sizes, priced at $250.
Tekken 8 launched in January to critical and commercial success, but some fans have since expressed disappointment at the gradual increase in monetisation.
Around a month after its release, Bandai Namco added microtransactions to the game, along with a Tekken Shop where items could be bought for real money.
This was followed by news in April that a Tekken Fight Pass was being added, which would add a live service element with free and premium tiers, much like a Battle Pass in other games.
