Baldur’s Gate 3’s second major patch includes a new epilogue scene for Karlach
Along with performance improvements, UI tweaks and more
Larian Studios has released the second major update for Baldur’s Gate 3.
“As well as plenty of performance improvements and UI tweaks, we’ve added a new epilogue scene for Karlach, and are working on additional endgame scenes featuring other characters,” Larian said of Patch 2.
“Additional Karlach moments have also been added in Acts 1 and 2, allowing her to better reflect on her infernal engine and the options available to her.”
Larian has published the patch notes for the game’s latest update here.
The studio released the first major Baldur’s Gate 3 patch last week, addressing “over 1,000 bugs, balancing, flow issues and much, much more”, according to the studio.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released for PS5 on September 6, while a delayed Xbox version will arrive later this year after split-screen co-op was removed as a feature on Series S.
In a recent interview with IGN, Larian senior product manager Tom Butler said the studio is discussing the possibility of expanding Baldur’s Gate 3 with DLC, but that its current focus is on releasing the console version and improving the base game.
“We’ll carry on patching for a while and then we’re all going to take a holiday and then we’ll figure out what we do next,” he said. “But at the moment, we genuinely have discussions. We want to do more. We don’t know what yet.”
