August’s PS Plus Extra and Premium games have been announced

Sony has announced the next wave of new games coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers.

From August 16, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members will be able to play Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, meaning they can experience the first three chapters in the Yakuza series.

Dead By Daylight, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and Bugsnax are among the other games also being added to the service this month.

All of these games, however, appear to be available to both Extra and Premium members. It’s not yet clear if Premium-only games are still to be confirmed, or if Sony isn’t planning to add any more classic games to the service this month.

The full list of games being added to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on August 16 is as follows:

  • Bugsnax
  • Dead by Daylight
  • Everspace
  • Metro Exodus
  • Monopoly Madness
  • Monopoly Plus
  • Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
  • Trials of Mana
  • Uno
  • Yakuza 0
  • Yakuza Kiwami
  • Yakuza Kiwami 2

As well as the above titles, August’s PlayStation Plus Essential tier games have been available to claim and download since August 2.

This month’s selection includes Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Little Nightmares.

PlayStation Plus Essential is the new name for the base PS Plus subscription service, where players get access to a few ‘free’ games every month.

Players can continue to play these games even after they’re no longer available to claim at the end of the monthly period, as long as they continue to subscribe to PlayStation Plus Essential (or a higher tier).
