Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Yule Festival is being extended because some players can’t access it

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s new Yule Festival will be extended due to ongoing issues players are having accessing it.

Launched on December 16, the Yule Festival includes festive activities that players can partake in to unlock new items such as a snowy beard and hair and settlement decorations.

Originally scheduled to run until January 6, 2022, Valhalla’s Yule Festival will now be extended to compensate for some players being unable to participate.

UPDATE 06/01/22: A new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update should finally let players access the Yule Festival, which has been extended by three weeks.

ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: “We’re working to resolve the issue preventing players from accessing the Yule Festival and will be extending the event so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the winter festivities,” Ubisoft said.

“We plan to deliver this fix in early January due to the holidays. Thank you for your patience.”

Ubisoft revealed its plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second year of content—a first for the series—last week.

They included the launch of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey crossover story DLC on December 14.

And Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, was announced for release in March 2022.

Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, the team responsible for Assassin’s Creed Rogue and the Curse of the Pharaohs expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins, Dawn of Ragnarök will offer some 35 hours of gameplay.

Earlier this week Ubisoft announced plans to stage an “immersive symphonic concert” to celebrate the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s 15th anniversary next year.

And earlier today it said it is looking into adding 60FPS support for Assassin’s Creed Origins.
