Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next major expansion could be ‘Dawn of Ragnarök’

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next major expansion could be titled ‘Dawn of Ragnarök’, according to a datamine of the game’s latest update.

While Ubisoft has confirmed that more Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content is in development, it has yet to officially detail its plans for new expansions.

However, Assassin’s Creed dataminer j0nathan has unearthed potential details about an upcoming Valhalla expansion via datamined code, including its name and achievements/trophy list.

Dawn of Ragnarök will be set in the dwarven realm of Svartalfheim, according to a Eurogamer translation of the serial leaker’s latest investigation.

It also looks set to introduce a range of new abilities and weapons for protagonist Eivor. These include brief invisibility, the power to fly like a crow, teleportation arrows, a chainmail-piercing spear, ice powers, and the ability to revive enemies.

An achievement/trophy can also be earned by “fully upgrading Odin’s Bracer”.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first story expansion, Wrath of the Druids, launched in May, while its second one, The Siege of Paris, arrived in August.

Ubisoft has said it expects to surprise players with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second year of expansions.

Ubisoft launched Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Viking Age Discovery Tour expansion earlier this week. The educational experience, which enables players to explore and interact with the history and culture of the Viking Age world, is free for all Assassin’s Creed Valhalla owners.

A standalone version of Discovery Tour: Viking Age is also available for PC via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store priced at £16.99, with PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Stadia and Luna releases planned in early 2022.
