Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Siege of Paris launch trailer shows off a bloody invasion
The game’s second expansion releases on August 12
Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second expansion, The Siege of Paris.
Launching on August 12 as a standalone purchase (£20.99 on PC and £19.99 on consoles) for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla owners or as part of the game’s season pass, The Siege of Paris retells the Viking invasion of France in 845 AD.
It sees players sail to the war-torn Kingdom of Francia and besiege the fortified city of Paris, where players will battle the forces of Charles the Fat.
The Siege of Paris includes new weapons, abilities, gear and skills to take on fresh enemy types, according to Ubisoft.
The expansion also features the return of Infiltration missions, “directly inherited from long-time, fan-favourite Black Box Missions”, which let players choose how to take out their designated target.
To access the expansion, players need to reach England and complete one of the first two narrative arcs available (Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire).
Ubisoft suggests players reach power level 200 for Francia, although this isn’t required.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season 3 launched in late July as part of title update 1.3.0.
It introduced the Sigrblot Festival, a time-limited event running until August 19. Players can unlock exclusive rewards, including a one-handed sword, by participating in activities and quests.
Ubisoft has said it expects to surprise players with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second year of expansions.
