Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Odyssey crossover story DLC launches this week
“Dive deeper into Kassandra’s journey with two new stories”
Ubisoft has announced plans to release Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey crossover story DLC on December 14.
It will arrive on Tuesday as part of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s 1.4.1 update.
“With Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories, discover the first-ever crossover between two Assassin’s Creed games,” reads the blurb accompanying the official reveal trailer, which is viewable below.
“Dive deeper into Kassandra’s journey with two new stories: Those Who Are Treasured available for free in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and A Fated Encounter in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
“Discover two new islands, get exclusive rewards and expand your Assassin’s Creed experience with Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories!”
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be free to play from December 16-19.
Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories was announced on Monday alongside Valhalla’s next expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, which will be released in March 2022.
This week’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update will also let players customise their game experience more deeply by tuning new combat, stealth and exploration difficulty settings.
It will include several fixes designed to improve detection and social stealth issues too.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s 1.4.1 update will require players to redownload the entire game.
The requirement is part of a “data restructuring” which Ubisoft says will significantly reduce the title’s file size on all platforms and improve performance.
