Assassin’s Creed Odyssey story creator mode released
Build and share quests with the community across platforms
While there was no new Assassin’s Creed game at this year’s Ubisoft E3 press conference, the publisher continues to roll out new content for last year’s series entry, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The firm has released an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey story creator mode, enabling players to craft their own quests and share them with the community.
Free for all owners of the game, it’s based on the story-designer tools and branching dialogue systems found in Ubisoft Quebec’s open-world action title.
Players can choose from six different quest objectives including assassination or rescue, and can cast the game’s characters in fresh roles.
Ubisoft says: “We are taking our philosophy of empowering players with choice to another level, allowing them to write their own stories with beloved historical and fictional characters from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and accompany them with gameplay, handwritten dialogue and a mixture of quest objectives.”
All player-create stories are available to play cross-platform. More information can be found in this blog, while a trailer can be viewed above.
