Assassin’s Creed ‘immersive concert’ announced for the franchise’s 15th anniversary
It will premiere in Paris next October ahead of a world tour
Ubisoft has revealed plans to stage an “immersive symphonic concert” to celebrate Assassin’s Creed’s 15th anniversary next year.
Created in partnership with Overlook Events (Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya Symphonic Adventure concerts), the event will include a full orchestra and choir supported by video, lighting and sound effects.
The world premiere of the Assassin’s Creed Symphonic Adventure will take place at the Grand Rex in Paris on October 29, 2022, with a world tour scheduled to begin in early 2023.
“Assassin’s Creed Symphonic Adventure features a full orchestra and choir in a unique and immersive concert experience that covers the musical journey of Assassin’s Creed from its ancient origins through to modern-day Animus settings,” Ubisoft said.
“In this original concert performance, the narrative of the games is at the heart of the music experience. The audience will be able to follow each game with its individual musical identity, accompanied by video montages on screen, perfectly synchronised with the orchestra, choir, and soloists.”
The Assassin’s Creed series debuted in 2007 and has sold over 155 million units, according to Ubisoft.
It said in October that the most recent franchise entry, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, had built on a strong commercial start to become the “second largest profit generating game” in the company’s history.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, will be released in March 2022.
Ubisoft also recently confirmed that a new series entry codenamed Assassin’s Creed Infinity is in the works. The project is a collaboration between Ubisoft Quebec (Odyssey) and Ubisoft Montreal (Origins and Valhalla).
