Assassin’s Creed composer to score Modern Warfare 2019
Sarah Schachner also worked on Infinite Warfare
Assassin’s Creed composer Sarah Schachner will create the score for 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, she confirmed this week.
Schachner is one of the most popular composers in games today, having worked on the two most recent Assassin’s Creed titles, BioWare’s Anthem and Infinity Ward’s previous Call of Duty entry, Infinite Warfare.
The composer said on Twitter that she “couldn’t be more thankful” to work with Infinity Ward again.
Set for release on October 25, Modern Warfare 2019 is described as an “epic reimagining of the iconic Modern Warfare series from the ground up”.
The game features a new game engine and for the first time in the series PC and console players will be able to play together online via cross-platform play, Activision said.
In addition, the game’s publisher says it will deliver post-release maps and content for free to all players, as opposed to through its traditional paid season pass model.
“Players will engage in breathtaking covert operations alongside a diverse cast of international special forces throughout iconic European cities and volatile expanses of the Middle East,” the game’s blurb reads.
