April’s free Stadia Pro games announced

Google has announced April’s additions to Stadia Pro’s free games line-up.

Spitlings, Serious Sam Collection, and Stacks On Stacks (On Stacks) will join existing free games Destiny 2, Grid, Gylt, SteamWorld Quest and SteamWorld Dig 2 on April 1.

Metro Exodus and Thumper are also currently free, but will leave the subscription service on March 31.

Stadia launched in November 2019 bundled with three months of Stadia Pro. Normally priced at $9.99/£8.99 per month, Stadia Pro offers 4K/HDR streaming with 5.1 surround sound and approximately one free game per month.

Google recently revealed plans to add over 120 titles to Stadia this year, and said it’s “targeting more than ten” timed exclusive releases in the first half of 2020.

New games coming to Stadia this week include Ubisoft‘s open world racer The Crew 2 ($49.99, or $15 with Stadia Pro) and Lost Words: Beyond the Page ($14.99), a 2D adventure platformer debuting first on the cloud gaming platform.

Earlier this week, Gears Tactics developer Splash Damage announced it’s working on a new Stadia exclusive game.
