Apple Arcade annual subscription offers 12 months for the price of 10
New membership option is priced at $50/£50
Apple Arcade now reportedly offers users the option to subscribe annually as well as monthly.
The annual subscription option is priced at $49.99 in the US, $59.99 in Canada, £49.99 in the UK and €49.99 in Europe, according to 9to5Mac.
VGC has asked Apple if the offer, which was originally spotted by iFun.de and saves users about $10/£10 over the course of a year, is a permanent one or a time limited promotion.
Apple Arcade launched in September priced at $4.99/£4.99 a month, although new users can sample the subscription service free for one month.
It offers unlimited access to a library of games for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, including VGC’s Audio Visual Game of the Year, Sayonara Wild Hearts.
Apple Arcade games aren’t available on any other mobile platform, all titles are playable offline and none feature advertisements or microtransactions.
The subscription service added its 100th game in November. Apple said at the time: “We will continue adding new games, carefully ensuring that each curated addition offers something new and unique to the portfolio, and continues to deliver high quality, value and fun.”
Apple recently revealed the most downloaded iOS games of 2019 and crowned Sky: Children of the Light by thatgamecompany its iPhone Game of the Year.
