Apex Legends is coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam

Apex Legends will release for Nintendo Switch and Steam, Electronic Arts announced on Thursday.

The battle royale title will release on both platforms in Fall 2020, EA announced during its Play Live stream, and the game will also be updated with full cross-platform play between Xbox One, PS4, Origin, Steam and Switch.

Game director Chad Grenier also confirmed that a limited time event, Lost Treasures Collection, will run from June 23 until July 7.

The event will feature the Armed and Dangerous Evolved mode, a new Town Takeover,  an exclusive Event Prize Track, 24 event limited premium cosmetics and more.

During its earnings call in October 2019, publisher EA said Apex Legends had attracted 70 million players.

Electronic Arts brought more of its games to Steam on Thursday, including Titanfall 2 ($10/£8) and The Sims 4 ($20/£17).

The publisher also released A Way Out ($15/£12), Need for Speed: Most Wanted ($5/£4) and Dead Space 3 ($10/£9) on the PC games platform, all at temporarily discounted prices.
