Another Ubisoft Forward digital event is coming later in 2020
Ubisoft CEO says the publisher has “a lot more to come”
A second Ubisoft Forward software showcase is planned for later in 2020.
Ubisoft held its first fully digital conference on Sunday, offering release dates and gameplay reveals for several high-profile games.
Towards the end of the show, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said: “We haven’t shown you everything yet. In fact, we have a lot more to come, so you will have another Ubisoft Forward to reveal even more about our upcoming games.”
Ubisoft communications specialist Youssef Maguid then confirmed that the show will return later this year.
Ubisoft Forward was used to announce a Watch Dogs Legion release date of October 29, 2020, an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla release date of November 17, 2020, and a Far Cry 6 release date of February 18, 2021.
All three titles will support Xbox Smart Delivery, which lets players buy a game once and play it across Xbox One and Xbox Series X, while Ubisoft has also confirmed free PS5 upgrades for players who buy the PS4 versions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6.
VGC recently got the chance to go hands-on with some of Ubisoft’s upcoming titles – see our newly published Watch Dogs Legions preview and exclusive Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay video.
Ubisoft also confirmed on Sunday that battle royale game Hyper Scape is now available on PC via open beta following a successful technical test.
Sunday’s Ubisoft Forward didn’t address the company’s ongoing reorganisation following a wave sexual misconduct allegations.
